Everglades Pro is a charter fishing business founded by Captains Jim and Doug Stoner. Our mission is to provide our clients with a high quality fishing experience in the Everglades National Park (ENP). The ENP offers some the most diverse fishing opportunities in South Florida. Our anglers often catch several different species of fish on a single trip while witnessing some of the most beautiful and wild country in southwest Florida.

CAPTAIN JAMES ( JIM ) STONER Captain Jim is a native Floridian who began fishing at an early age. His first trips to ENP were with his father at about age ten. Those were the days before Alligator Alley and they would travel to Chokoloskee from Ft. Lauderdale via the Tamiami Trail. They used a 1953 aluminum work boat to learn the area and every trip was an adventure. That adventuresome spirit continues today at Everglades Pro. Over the years Capt Jim has honed his skills as an angler to include the ability to fish with spin, plug or fly tackle and is proficient with both artificial and live baits. He has recently become an International Game Fish Association (IGFA) certified guide and is a member of both the Florida Guides Association (FGA) and the Coastal Conservation Association. Captain James is a former IGFA line-class record holder.
CAPTAIN DOUGLAS ( DOUG ) STONER Captain Doug is a Florida native who began fishing with his dad, Captain Jim, at an early age. Now a seasoned fisherman, he is an expert sight fisherman and accomplished light tackle angler. He has landed many large fish on the light stuff and has demonstrated that in the hands of an expert this tackle is deadly. At age 12 he was already proficient with several types of tackle and had landed Cobia over 70 pounds on 12 pound test. By age 16 he had landed his first Snook and Redfish on fly tackle. Later, fishing in the Bahamas, he caught a boat grand slam catch consisting of a Tarpon, Bonefish and Permit all on fly tackle.
